New 2025 Season

Welcome 2025! New year, new show format.

We have a website!

www.beyondgoodbye.org

We have a new email!

beyondgoodbye21@gmail.com

Excited for this new season and all the improvements. We hope you all are too!

00:00:00
I know it has been a while since our last episode and I just wanted to take a moment

00:00:22
to thank you all for your continued support of Beyond Goodbye.

00:00:27
Your messages, stories, and feedback remind me why these conversations about grief and

00:00:31
healing are so important.

00:00:34
We have been working hard behind the scenes revamping Beyond Goodbye to bring an even

00:00:40
more meaningful and engaging experience and I have some exciting news to share.

00:00:45
We have a website now.

00:00:47
You can find it at www.beyondgoodbye.org and I will leave these in notes today.

00:00:56
We also have a new email which is beyond goodbye 21 at gmail.com.

00:01:02
So I've been spending the last many months thinking about Beyond Goodbye and how it could

00:01:08
maybe better serve my community, our community.

00:01:14
And at the same time, deciding whether I even wanted to continue with Beyond Goodbye.

00:01:20
It is a little bit triggering for me on occasion to hear other stories and just to talk about

00:01:26
those things.

00:01:27
But it's also very healing.

00:01:32
So I decided after a lot of thought and meditation to move forward, but with maybe a little bit

00:01:39
of a different format.

00:01:41
We're still going to have the stories.

00:01:43
So in addition to, you know, the grief stories that we hear from our guests, we're going

00:01:48
to be incorporating some other things.

00:01:51
And so here's just a sampling of what those will be.

00:01:55
So we'll have, you know, our listener stories.

00:01:58
We're going to have panel discussions and roundtables, you know, something to kind of

00:02:03
just deepen our conversations around grief, healing, transformation.

00:02:07
I'm also going to have guided sessions.

00:02:11
And so we'll have little short episode interludes where I may share personal thoughts or reflections.

00:02:17
Um, maybe offer some mindfulness exercises.

00:02:23
Maybe we'll do a meditation, some guided journaling prompts, that sort of thing.

00:02:28
I also am going to incorporate, uh, what I'm going to call letters to our loved ones.

00:02:34
And these are short episodes and they will be where you as the listeners will submit

00:02:39
letters written to someone you've lost and either I will read them or you could read

00:02:44
them if you'd like.

00:02:46
On the website, I have an area where you can send me a message, um, in via email or voice

00:02:54
message.

00:02:55
So if you were to send me a voice message that was your letter to a loved one, I would

00:02:59
just play that instead of my reading it if you wanted me to do that.

00:03:04
Um, and I, you know, there's going to be other things that we'll share and we'll do moving

00:03:10
forward, but this is the, the newer subjects or maybe not subject is the word platform

00:03:19
of what I want to incorporate that I feel better encompasses.

00:03:23
It's, it's I think more well rounded than what I had started out with.

00:03:28
Um, and I'm really excited to do that.

00:03:31
And so we'll have our regular, you know, someone sharing their story and interview that will

00:03:37
happen once a month, the new or next show or episode coming out will be on March 19th

00:03:45
and I'm interviewing a woman by the name of DC Copeland and I'm pretty excited for you

00:03:48
all to hear from her.

00:03:50
She is a millennial and I think that we have, um, somebody speaking from that perspective.

00:03:58
I know I have some millennial listeners out there.

00:04:00
I truly believe you guys are going to enjoy hearing what she has to say.

00:04:04
I really enjoy speaking with her.

00:04:06
So that will be the episode for March.

00:04:10
And as I said, each month we'll do one episode, but each month I'm also going to have those

00:04:16
short little interludes.

00:04:18
So a journal prompt or, and, or a listener story.

00:04:22
If we get listener stories, I'm playing them that month.

00:04:25
Um, and the roundtables will be more, that's a specialized sort of thing.

00:04:30
It would be a longer podcast.

00:04:32
So maybe, you know, it'd be an hour, 45 minutes, and those probably are only going to happen

00:04:38
a few times a year.

00:04:39
And they'll be with scientists, religious, uh, folks with us, regular people who, you

00:04:46
know, think outside the box or inside the box and just have a robust conversation around

00:04:52
grief and loss.

00:04:55
So I just really want to thank everyone for being part of this journey and for your patience

00:04:59
with me over the last few months of not having posted anything.

00:05:02
Uh, your support means everything and I can't wait to continue and grow the space with you.

00:05:08
If you haven't already, uh, please follow beyond goodbye and your favorite podcast sites.

00:05:14
You don't miss out.

00:05:15
And if beyond goodbye resonates with you, even if it's just the older shows and we haven't,

00:05:19
you know, we're just starting new in the 2025 year, please share it with somebody who you

00:05:23
think might need it today.

00:05:25
And there you have it, the 2025 version of beyond goodbye.

00:05:30
Thank you for listening and we'll meet you all again on March 19th.

00:05:35
Bye for now.
